I snapped this at Adidas & Cashmere Agency Present: Respect The West a few weeks back. YG got down, as did Dom Kennedy and Kendrick Lamar. West Coast hip hop clearly has a prominent future…
More to come.
FINALLY. Neighborhood Nip Hussle is back with a new tape. The first “Marathon” dropped last December, and truthfully whenever I need to bang Hussle I’ve bumped that, but I’ve been wondering when dude was gonna drop some new new.
Well here it is. “The Marathon Continues.” Click the album art for a download link and grace yourself with some fire.
Shouts out to the venerable SK for the connect.
A small sampling of my photog skills. Taken this year at SXSW. Artists featured include: Kendrick Lamar, Freddie Gibbs, Snoop Dogg, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, Daz, Kurupt, and Warren G.
Yup, Los is “Finally Here”, and damn, this track is SUPA hottttt. I think my dude is FINALLY gonna blow.
I’ve been known to play the shit out of hot records, and I’m wondering if I’ll ever get tired of this shit right here… Very excited for Los right now.
This is supa hot…
I know. I’m late… But I’ve been bangin Los since the day. Like back in 08.
Hopefully dude is finally next to blow because I’m fairly tired of explaining who he is…
P.S……
Before today, I didn’t really know much about who Jerry Weintraub is, or how he really revolutionized the entertainment industry. But this dude was/is HEAVY in the game.
I haven’t been able to focus much today, so I decided to peep this HBO documentary about Jerry titled “His Way”, and let me tell you, this shit is truthful. I’m beyond inspired right now.
Anyways, if you’re in anyway involved in the entertainment industry, whether it be music, film, or media, you need to educate yourself about the career of Jerry Weintraub.
Serious…
Just signed up to start training at Freddie Roach’s legendary Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood. While I most definitely don’t foresee myself trading punches with my boy Amir Kahn, I’m definitely ready to get my swoll on…
Good day.
:-)
Just posted this hot new mixtape on one of the freshest new music + culture blogs I get down with, Brute-iful.
Just a small sampling of pics of me with a few of the hottest artists I’ve covered over the years.
This is just the beginning. In the coming days, weeks, and months, I’ll be unleashing all sorts of dope media featuring the hottest acts in music.
Come back soon!
:-)

Keepin it "Budge Reinhold" @ the Sunset Marquee Hotel yesterday with none other than Nasty Nas and Damian Marley. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to film a quick URB viral spot with the two legends (editing now...).
Will def post "herr" as soon as its ready.
"Respect." -Damian Marley
(above) Actor, Judge Reinhold
"Budge Reinhold" best integration of the "Budge" nickname since, well since "Budge Rodriguez" was coined...
Except, Judge Reinhold is very clearly, WAY more "Budge" than 'Pudge' Rodriguez. So, maybe I should change my name? ....
Thank you.
Randall Bailey might not be an elite fighter anymore, but the homie still has ridiculous two-fisted punching power.
Coming off a loss in a great fight last year, it took him 90 seconds or so to KO this bum...
It's 2010 and Budge is officially on the grid. Very clearly, this is my first post of the year, so I just want to succinctly give readers an idea of what the "Budge Mindframe" is, transitioning from 2009 to 2010...
...In 2009, the main focus, or "theme" if you will, was "Infrastructure." I spent a great majority of the year building an infrastructure for what I hope will ultimately be a world-changing media conglomerate.
In 2010, the focus/theme is "Connectivity". I am now tasked with ensuring we establish and maintain connectivity between multiple media platforms.
While this idea may seem general, or to some people, even vague, I just want every reader to take a mental note of the logo brandished above, and remember the following quote:
"All the pieces matter." - Lester Freeman, "The Wire"
- Posted from an Xtrovertd iTouch
Connectivity is mobile. :-)
Its been about nine months since my last day at URB, a day which set in motion a series of events ultimately leading to the inception of my first and only media company, Xtrovert Industries, LLC. From the outset, my goal was to integrate the knowledge of modern media constructs I'd learned at URB, and use it to build a legacy media company of my own, whose foundation would be the hard work, intellect, and forward-thinking of my generation of peers.
In this new digital age, college students in the 17-25 age group have more power and freedom than ever. We attend universities with nearly unlimited resources that provide unlimited opportunity. Free and low-cost media tools are available for us to manipulate in ways previously unimaginable, which allow us to connect and build with peers around the globe.
"Our youth makes us cool. Our intelligence makes us valuable. And our drive to succeed make us almighty." -Budge Rodriguez
Until next time, STAY TUNED.....
Like I said in the URB Blog: (thats right I'm quoting myself...)
"I wasn't able to get this post up during the week due to a hectic work schedule, and because I wanted to have at least one straight through listen of the tape so I could have some credible commentary for this prestigious blog.
So, without further adeu, here is URB's belated presentation of DJ Skee's newest mixtape, MIDWESTGANGSTABOXFRAMECADILLACMUZIK, by feature emcee, Freddie Gibbs.
Representing Gary, Indiana, the hometown of a certain recently departed "King of Pop," Freddie Gibbs is gangster rap's best hope for survival in this new digital age of music. Being that blogs are supposed to be succinct, I don't want to overload you with information, but just know that if you like UGK, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Tupac, or all the above, then you will like Freddie Gibbs.
Download this mixtape from the link above, and stay tuned later in the week for a full length review.
P.S. County Bounce is my shit!
** Budge's Note: Have medical marijuana and either peach Optimos or grape Swishers readily available while listening to this tape."
This is a Budget J. Rodriguez World Premier! Bitches...
Been heavy on the grind while trying to keep my creative assets simple, fly, and classy.
Peep the new logo (and banner above).
P.S. You know in due time that logo is gonna look mighty fly when it meets 59/50... :)
Criticisms? Holler at ME.
